The radio ts 522 is just such an object. Designed by Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper and produced since 1964 by Brionvega, it is a radio that has changed the meaning of radio. It is no longer gray, but colorful and has a form that has never before been seen: it is a cube.

Marco Zanuso, together with Richard Sapper, has together re-invented the radio, in that he has divided it into two different parts, yet left them connected. He has created a "non-radio" that can form itself, change itself and be lively. On, off. Open, closed. The radio, always.

A CARESS IS ENOUGH
The alarm tone can be turned off in radio and in snooze mode by touching the right half of the cube. There are sensors in the housing activate the turn-off function through an electronic circuit. A truly sensitive radio alarm.
THE LEGEND LIVES IN DETAIL

Two cube-shaped forms in washable, durable ABS plastic.
A light skin with two halves that open symmetrically, available in the classic colors with their poetic names: sunny orange, snow white and night black. The loudspeaker mesh is in aluminum alloy, an extendable, highly sensitive antenna. The stations and saved settings can be viewed on an LED scale. Care has been given to the smallest of details and the materials have been carefully selected. High tech combined with devoted workmanship. Timeless values.
THE DESIGN IS ON TIME
"An atomic clock" - not radioactive, but rather very practical. The time is set internally with help from geostationary satellite signals over Europe. Adjustment takes place several times a day, usually between 3:00 and 6:00 am. The same automatic calibration works for daylight savings time as well. So you don't lose any time when the clocks are changed. A truly intelligent radio alarm clock.
